Carry Me
There are moments when you hit the wall. Not the kind where you just need encouragement or a little boost to keep going. The kind where you literally cannot take another step. Where the thought of continuing feels impossible. Where everything in you is screaming: I can't do this.
Maybe you're there today. Maybe you've been trying to push through, to be strong, to keep it together. But you're beyond tired. Beyond your capacity. You're not just weak, you're empty. And what you need isn't another pep talk or a strategy for finding strength. You need to be carried.
I love this verse in Isaiah 40:11 which says, "He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart." Not pushes them. Not encourages them to try harder. Carries them. Because sometimes, that's what we need. Not strength to walk, but Someone to carry us entirely.
This isn't failure. It's surrender. It's admitting, "I can't do this," and trusting that God can. It's letting Him take the full weight instead of trying to prove we can handle it. Pride wants us to keep going on our own. It feels ashamed to need this level of help. But God isn't ashamed. He's been offering to carry us all along.
Being carried means we relax. We stop struggling. We let ourselves be held. We trust that He's moving us forward even when we're not taking steps. And we rest, not because the situation is easier, but because we're no longer bearing it alone.

Prayer
Lord, I can't do this, carry me, because I've reached the point where I can't even take another step, where moving forward feels impossible, and I need You to lift me and carry me through.
I'm not just weak or tired, I'm beyond my capacity to continue, unable to keep going even with help, and what I need isn't strength to walk but for You to carry me entirely.
Teach me to surrender when I'm completely spent, to trust You to do what I absolutely cannot do for myself right now, to let go of trying and simply be held.
You take the full weight, I'm not walking beside You or leaning on You but being held completely, moved forward by Your strength alone while I rest.
Help me let go of the pride that says I should be able to do this, that resists being carried, that feels ashamed of needing this level of help.
Remind me that You carried Israel through the wilderness, that You're the Shepherd who carries lambs close to His heart, that being carried is what You offer when walking becomes impossible.
Give me trust to relax in Your arms instead of struggling, to let myself be held when I can't stand, to rest while You carry me through what I cannot walk through alone.
Let me be carried by You today, held securely, moved forward not by my effort but by Yours, trusting that when I can't do this, You carry me.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
